Also done for a school project.
I loved doing this, just because it came to life through a very different process than all the rest of my stuff.
I made the robot on the painting with clay, then I took some pictures of him with different backgrounds. I printed a few of them and started experimenting different interventions. on this case I liked to play with the texture of a fabric I found. I don’t know if you can really see it in the picture, but I actually cut the robot out and replaced it with this fabric.

I made this for school, my expo’s theme was kitsch happiness, I reckon that out of the bunch this was the painting that fit the best with the theme.
fake gold and plastic flowers are just kitsch icons, the exaggeration and appropriation of nature in order to get closer to the real deal and by that reaching the ideal happiness.
I do, I really need it…

this is my I am so happy picture because I finally got the camera and took pictures of all of my drawings and paintings! yeyy!
